Disney Cruise Line has removed its fuel surcharge. Guests who have already booked a cruise and paid a fuel supplement may be eligible for a refund in the form of an onboard credit. Refunds are determined as follows: if the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) closing price for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fuel is below $70 per barrel two weeks before the start of the calendar quarter, Disney Cruise Line will issue the credit.

The applicable quarter is based solely on the cruise’s sailing date, and the entire voyage is considered part of that quarter. For a full calendar of dates when WTI fuel prices are measured and the quarters during which refunds may apply, refer to Disney Cruise Line’s official guidelines.

Deposit Requirements
A deposit is required to confirm your Disney Cruise Line reservation. The deposit amount will be determined at the time of booking and must be received within the option period specified to hold your cruise or vacation package. If the deposit is not received within this period, the reservation may be canceled.

For all new bookings, reinstated reservations, or bookings with a changed sail date, the standard deposit is 10% of the cruise fare (effective June 18, 2025), including non-commissionable fares. Reservations made before June 17, 2025, retain their original deposit of 20% as previously agreed. This policy applies to all stateroom guests, including children under 3.

Final Payment
Final payment is due based on factors including cruise length, embarkation and debarkation ports, stateroom category (suite/concierge vs. non-suite/non-concierge), and holiday sail dates. For U.S. dollar bookings, final payment can be made via check or major credit cards including Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover®, Diners Club®, Japanese Credit Bureau, or Disney Reward® Visa® Credit Card. For bookings in other currencies, Visa® and MasterCard® are accepted. Group travel policies may vary—please confirm with your travel agent.

Strict adherence to deposit and final payment schedules, along with other applicable policies, is required. Failure to comply may result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.

Cancellations and Changes
Cancellations may be made by telephone or in writing. Changes to your vacation dates or guest names are treated as cancellations. Refunds for cancellations will be issued minus applicable cancellation fees or any outstanding charges. No refunds will be given for cancellations or interruptions after the vacation has begun. Refunds will be processed directly to the guest’s credit card or via the travel agent if booked through one. Disney Cruise Line is not responsible for refunds issued by travel agents. All travel documents, including airline tickets, must be returned before refunds can be processed. Certain travel agents may also apply an agency cancellation fee.

Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to restrict changes to reservations. All changes are subject to availability and may affect rates if the party size changes.

Flights Outside North America
If at least one flight departs from or arrives at an airport outside North America, the reservation will follow the “Any Flights Outside North America” policy.

For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, Disney Cruise Line ships are primarily non-smoking. To accommodate those who do smoke while maintaining a pleasant environment for everyone, designated smoking areas are available on the open-air decks of each ship.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in staterooms and on private verandahs. Guests who violate this policy will be charged a $250 fee, which will be applied to their onboard account.
